You may have heard the term "superbug" before, but what does it mean? To put it quite simply, a superbug is a form of microorganism that is entirely immune to any sort of antibiotic. Often, superbugs plague a society for quite awhile before any sort of cure can be found, and sometimes remedies that do emerge are far too late.

The newest form of MRSA (Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus) has now been classified a superbug due to its incredible ability to ward off any type of antibiotic. How, exactly, are superbugs formed? There are a number of causes that directly relate to the effect of a superbug, and none of them are the sole basis for this type of microorganism. Often, a superbug is immediately misdiagnosed, and some scientists believe that this is the number one cause for death. However, patients that do not use antibiotics properly can also contribute to the formation of a superbug that merely exists within a culture for many years until it multiplies and seeks out many victims. Other research has found that superbugs may also be the result of many antibiotics given to cattle in order to promote growth. No matter what the initial cause of a superbug, the mere though of such a bug is just a little bit more than terrifying.

While superbugs such as MRSA cannot be eliminated once the bug has entered a human's body, it is possible to prevent this type of bacteria from devastating the immune system. When it comes to dealing with diseases and bacteria that have no cure, prevention is often the only thing to turn to. It is recommended that everyone properly wash their hands, avoid sharing personal cosmetic products, and it is also highly recommended that a hand sanitizer be used consistently to prevent the spread of any possible bacteria.

Although there are many different hand sanitizers on the market, there is only one product that can effectively kill any form of MRSA from the moment that it touches the skin. All Terrain's Hand Sanz is guaranteed to completely obliterate MRSA as soon as it is spread upon a person's body. Superbugs are frightening because they can't be seen, yet they will kill nearly anyone that comes in contact with them. Even though you shouldn't live your life in fear, you may sleep better at night knowing that daily application of Hand Sanz will prevent any form of deadly superbug attack. Chances are, superbugs will keep on multiplying as the years pass, and as such, scientists will need to come up with antibiotics to kill these microscopic bacteria before it is too late, but for now, keep Hand Sanz on your side and keep yourself safe.

John Grimes is with AllTerrainco.com - makers of Hand Sanz Sanitizer which kills MRSA staph infection with one application. Visit us to read the lab results of the test.

The healing benefits of aloe vera have been recorded throughout the world's history for thousands of years, but only recently has modern medicine placed the "miracle plant" under laboratory investigation and began to unlock the deep secrets of aloe's amazing chemical composition.

Aloe has such unique healing abilities, proven scientifically, like no other plant. There have been many studies on aloe. The key ingredient in aloe vera is mucopolysaccharides [MPS] (long-chain sugars) that have very strong antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-tumor and immunomodulatory properties proven scientifically. Many articles on aloe's remarkable healing abilities were published in the most prestigious medicinal magazines.

Even if you think it is easier just to buy a commercial aloe product, like gel or juice, it is still not going to be the same as aloe gel squeezed from a fresh aloe leaf because many aloe products on the market are either diluted or improperly processed. While traditional medicine has been using aloe as part of some drugs or cosmetic products for decades, folk medicine has been using aloe for a few thousand years and has built up an impressive collection of home remedies for many ailments.

There are two ways to prepare aloe gel at home: a regular method and a biogenic stimulation method. The biogenic stimulation method is very easy to do at home. It is a powerful weapon against tumors and serious illnesses, like stomach cancer, tuberculosis, radiation burns and mastopathy. This method was proven scientifically in 1930s and has already been successfully used by traditional and folk medicines in treating various diseases in the last 70 years.

Aloe vera can be used externally and internally.

Aloe vera gel used externally helps with acne, sunburns, thermal and radiation burns, boils, dandruff, gum sores, dermatitis, edemas, hemorrhoids, inflammation in the eyes, insect bites and stings, psoriasis, skin rashes and irritations, ulcers, varicose veins, warts, wounds and wrinkles. When you apply freshly squeezed aloe vera gel on the affected area of the skin, it creates a protective coating which speeds up the healing process, decreases swelling and redness, reduces inflammation, relieves pain, promotes synthesis of collagen in tissue and prevents blisters in case of burns.

Taken internally, it reduces inflammation which is involved in such diseases as ulcerative colitis, arthritis, and gastritis, helps with the reduction of blood sugar with both type I and II diabetes and has a powerful healing effect on AIDS, cancer, tumors and many different immune system disorders. Mucopolysaccharides found in aloe vera are very effective intracellular antioxidants which is very important in preventing and treating arteriosclerosis, heart disorders and Parkinson's disease.

Today home remedies have become more and more popular because people have become aware of the harmful side effects of synthetic drugs.

If you are interested in treating your health problems naturally, with home remedies that cost just pennies, download today the report Aloe - Your Miracle Doctor, which is filled with over 150 tested home remedies.

Yulia Berry is a professional makeup artist. It has been her passion to collect the most interesting natural home remedies, healthy diet plans, and beauty and makeup tips from different countries. She spent a few years researching alternative cures and healthy dieting. A part of her huge collection has been published on the website Great Home Remedies. Real beauty comes from within. Although we cannot control people's desire of having cosmetic or plastic surgery, but getting under the knife is certainly a big decision in life.

Many times I have heard the adage, "no pain, no gain." But certainly there are more pains in artificial beauty. Everything that is unnatural fades easily as one matures. The body changes are not for a lifetime. For a while you will enjoy it, but expect to experience side effects. Nothing is permanent; even the add-ons to our body, as in the case of surgery, may sometimes be irritating.

Cosmetic products or procedures like skin whitening, diamond peeling or some minor processes are okay. However, noselift, botox and other major body renovations are simply not works of art, but works of science.

If you are happy in enhancing your body parts, then go for it. Just don't overdo it or you may end up damaging your God-given features.

You will for sure look elegantly in the first treatments. But as time goes by, you will realize that all artificial things have limitations. Others glow more as they grow older. In your case, you will spend more as you get older to maintain your pseudo-beauty.

People getting under the knife are individuals who are most likely forced to do it due to personal reasons. Be it for popularity or relationship issues, looking good is generally their main concern. There is no problem about that.

Simple enhancements are fine. But being addicted to too much body makeovers and still has no contentment to the outcome may post psychological disorders.

If you are decided to change any of your body part, think a hundred times. Go to the best doctors to get good results. Make sure you are doing it for yourself with the right reasons and not merely for other people's sake.

I'm going to share with you what are the causes of axillary hyperhidrosis. This is a type of disorder that leaves you excessively sweating all the time, especially under your arms. This also causes people to have body odor associated with it too.

There are many different theories on why someone would have this disorder. Since only a small portion of society have it, and an even smaller portion of those people actually seek treatment, there has really been a demand for a cure.

One of the most common theories on why this happens is genetics. It is believed that people are just born this way. They just have over active sweat glands and they suffer from this axillary hyperhidrosis.

Another theory on this is that sufferers have a very active nervous system. We all associate nervousness with a sweaty face, and it sort of follows the same idea. A person would have an over active nervous system, which has the nerves constantly firing, which makes them hot.

There are some cures for this, some are more dangerous and extreme than others. The most extreme solution is surgery. Basically doctors surgically remove sweat glands. This should only be used as a last resort because it is expensive and has many complications, which come with surgery.

There are much easier solutions and in particular, better for the body. Changing your diet can have a profound effect on this disorder. There are certain foods that can speed up your heart rate and metabolism that will make you hotter. Obviously, eliminating this can reduce excess sweating.

I hope this has opened your eyes on what are the causes of axillary hyperhidrosis. I hope you take the appropriate actions to solve this disorder.

Find out what it takes to stop excess sweating by checking out Stop Excess Sweating Review today!

In today's era of constantly stressed out life, with burdens galore, people seem to be living stressed out lives in the urban areas of the country.

Researchers reveal that the younger generations today are more prone to suffer from aging symptoms much earlier than their ancestors did. This can largely be attributed to the stressed out lives that the younger generation is leading today. However, other factors, such as smoking and health-related problems may also lead an individual to look much older than what they actually are. This is one of the main reasons why most of the people keep looking for different ways to appear younger and regain their youthfulness back. The fountain of youth is one such element, which seems like a ray of hope to many people battling the stress of burdened life and fast ageing.

It is believed that there exists a fountain of youth, whose magical water can help people to regain their youth. However it is also, sarcastically, famous that the search for this famous fountain of youth, much like the fountain itself, would remain eternal. People all over the world have not succeeded in finding out the exact location of this place. Even so, it is believed that this fountain of youth might be located somewhere near Florida. This is one of the main reasons why a large number of people and researchers have concentrated their searches on this place, alone.

The mythological and hugely controversial fountain of youth is increasingly being used by cosmetic giants as an effective advertising gimmick. Most of these companies try to sell their lotions, creams and other liquids and cosmetic products claiming that they are the next fountain of youth whose magical touch can help the masses to get rid of all their skin and age related problems.

Apart from this, a number of skin specialists and naturalists claim to know the secret of the fountain of youth. While some of them claim healthy food and a rich diet are the secrets behind the regaining of one's youth, others attribute an active lifestyle and regular exercise to be the key behind remaining young and cheerful.

There are also a number of spiritual gurus around the world who claim that fast aging is caused by incessant stress and worry. The aging process is further aggravated by the seething of negative feelings and emotions that do not get expressed. Hence, most of the spiritual gurus advise that the best way to regain youth is by weeding out all the negative feelings and adopting a better and optimistic approach towards life.

There is yet is anther set of researchers who claim that calorie restriction is the only way to retain youth. These researchers have claimed that the process of calorie intake can increase the lifespan of a person by as much as 50 years. Thus, no matter what one may believe, secret is that the fountain of youth lies within us and our practical and healthy approach toward life.

24 Faubourg Edt Spray 3.4 Oz

Launched by the design house of Hermes in 1995, 24 FAUBOURG by Hermes is classified as a flowery fragrance. This feminine scent posesses a blend of: orange blossom, amber, vanilla, and jasmine. It is recommended for casual wear.

Consumers are turning to wholesome and therapeutic elements found in Mother Nature for skin care therapies and beauty treatments. There is an awareness of the potentially harmful effects associated with the long term use of synthetic chemicals found in many formulas. To name a few - 1,4-dioxane, a cancer causing contaminant found in cosmetic products; silicone emollients which coat the skin and trap anything beneath it - not allowing the skin to breathe; formaldehyde, cancer-causing vapor that can cause allergies, irritations to eyes, nose and throat, headaches and chronic fatigue.

Few people realize that skin is a dynamic tissue. Up to 60% of the skin products that we apply are absorbed into our bloodstream! Cosmetics, lotions and creams are an important part of life but we need to be aware of the damage chemicals have on our system. The only way to correct this is to find something less harmful. Natural and organic herbal skin care is the answer - grown without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides and genetically engineered seeds.

Vitamins

In the last few years many manufacturers have begun to add vitamins and antioxidants to their formulas. Look for vitamin A to assist in preventing roughness and dryness. C and E are the simplest forms of antioxidants and will help in the prevention of sun damage and in fighting premature wrinkles.

There is some evidence that vitamin C may pass through the skins top layer and heal tissue that has been damaged by a burn or an injury. A study recently showed that applying topical Vitamin C, 15 to 30 minutes after UV exposure, sunburn cells decreased and repair to the damage had begun. The one problem of this vitamin is that it is unstable when left open to the air. Research is continuing to optimize this but one consistent way is to use an anhydrous (no water) base cream.

Vitamin D interacts with sunlight to form in our bodies and is considered an antioxidant and an anticarcinogen. Although it can be toxic in large amounts, sunbathing wont result in an overdose.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera is a soothing plant and the base of many natural cleansing formulas, offering exfoliation, moisturizing and protection. This miracle plant dates back to the time of Cleopatra but was lost for years. It was rediscovered during the Second World War when it was used for treating burn victims. It is now used as an ingredient that will help with antiaging, in the healing of wounds and sun damaged tissue. Apply aloe gel several times a day and watch the redness of a sunburn disappear without peeling.

Topical use of a cream containing 0.5 percent aloe vera extract three times a day for four weeks shows a high cure rate of lesions in psoriasis patients. Further research suggests that this plant may have a mild analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect with no known adverse reactions. The problem of eczema can be addressed with specific ingredients such as aloe vera which provides soothing, cleansing and healing.

A great idea in using natural formulas is to do-it-yourself. To prepare an aloe vera home recipe, take the slippery part from inside the plant, puree in a blender and keep refrigerated. Apply a coat of the gel for 5 minutes and rinse. Over time watch for spots, acne and scars to disappear.

Jojoba Oil

Plant and animal species around the world were being identified and quickly outlawed for hunting and harvesting. The use of products derived from these sources was banned. The endangered sperm whale produced waxes that were greatly valued for their function in cosmetics. During the 60s and 70s a liquid wax (jojoba oil) found in the deserts of California, Arizona and Mexico was discovered by scientists. It not only replaced the prohibited wax from the sperm whale but appeared to actually be superior.

This jojoba oil is an excellent moisturizing agent and has spreading and lubricating properties. It leaves a rich non-oily velvety feel and enhances flexibility and suppleness. Studies done at the University of Michigan demonstrated that it is quickly absorbed. Because of this, pores and hair follicles remain open maintaining their proper functioning ability.

Applied directly and as often as required it is known to reduce wrinkles and bring relief to sensitive skin. The desert peoples of Southern California and Mexico had long been using it to treat rashes and cuts because of anti-bacterial qualities.

Many companies and name brands are introducing their all natural skin care lines and in many cases, samples are available to try out their product.

But you, the consumer, needs to realize that any product, natural or chemical based may have side effects. It is most important to read and study the information on your product of interest, know your skin type and what effect you want to achieve.

With so many choices in skin care and beauty products, it becomes confusing as to what is the best value for the money. No one has all the answers. But I do have the time to check out and make myself knowledgeble about what is out there. Many consumers are busy with other things and may not have the time to do the research. I attempt on my sites to give them some answers, or at least point them in the direction that will give them some answers. My sites are http://www.skin-care-n-cosmetics.com and http://www.perfume-n-cologne-shop.com

Melissa and Doug Classic ABC Block Cart

This sturdy, classically styled block cart features 30 brightly painted, solid wood blocks with a colorful collection of pictures, letters and numbers. These chunky blocks are perfect for little fingers to grasp and move around the Block Cart.
Customer Review: Enduring Wooden Blocks
I had similar blocks when I was a child and purchased these for my first great-grandson this past Christmas (2007). He immediately went for the string to pull around his blocks and really loves playing and building things with these blocks. He also enjoys putting them away in their own little wagon. These alphabet/number blocks have been around for over 100 years and continue to be loved and enjoyed generation after generation. They encourage the child's creativity and learning. Who could ask for more?
Customer Review: Wooden Toys
I like wooden toys for kids. This they can stack, learn colors, balance, letters, start learning short words, fitting them back in the wagon, and the fun of putting other things in the wagon to tote them around. Cats fit will too. Blocks are always a great sorce of imagination play.

The clipper-over-comb cutting technique is good for sides/sideburns and the bottom area of the haircut by the neck. Some general guidelines to follow are:

* The hair must be dry because wet hair clumps and therefore won't get cut evenly by the clipper blades. Do the clipper-over-comb technique at the end of the haircut. When you start cutting at the beginning of the haircut, the hair needs to be damp. However by the time you've finished the outline and the top of the head, the bottom should be dry enough to cut with the clippers.

* Hold your comb in your less dominant hand (left) and lift vertical sections of hair at a 90 angle (straight out) from the scalp.

* With your clipper in your dominant hand (right), start at the bottom of the section of hair protruding between the teeth of your comb. Move your clipper up your comb, cutting off any hairs that stick past your comb.

* If you want to taper the hair with the bottom being the shortest and having the top of the section you are cutting to be longer, you'll need to angle your comb. When you lift out vertical sections of hair, have one end of the comb close to the head and angle the other end out. Hold it at the angle that makes most sense for the haircut you're giving.

* Keep cutting in vertical sections around the head. Work from the bottom of the hairline, going up until you reach the bottom of the hair that is already cut at the top of your head.

* With this technique, your comb has the most important role because it determines how much hair you are going to cut off. Hold the comb steady as you are cutting to avoid any unevenness.

* Use hair that you've already cut to act as a guide for how you hold your comb. Picking up some hair that's already been cut along with some uncut hair helps you to see how to hold your comb for the next cut. Be careful with the first cut you make since you have no guide for it. Be conservative with how much you cut off the first cut. You can always go back and cut off more if needed.

Using the clipper-over-comb cutting technique is a real lifesaver for hard to cut areas at the bottom of the haircut. You can make the bottom edges much shorter (and therefore make the haircut last longer) if you pick hair up with a comb rather than with your fingers.

Nadine Visscher is the author of Cutting Your Own Hair and The Beginner's Guide to Cutting Hair. She has been cutting hair for 20 years and now helps others learn the art of haircutting.

Customer Review: Plucks out some, not all
I was afraid to use this for a week after I got it because I was afraid it would be very painful. I thought I would just test it out on a little area of my leg, but it went so well that I did both legs and underarms in about 45 minutes on my first use. I've examined the hairs after this epilator pulled them out and it seems to be plucking hair from the underarm as I can see the little nasty roots of the hairs. On my legs, though, I am not quite sure. I can feel the machine pricking my skin, but after each use, my legs do not feel very smooth. I can feel the stubble already growing in! Like another reviewer has said, it seems to be only breaking the hairs off and not plucking from the roots. I am not sure why it works better on my underarms than legs because you would think it would be easier to epilate the leg cuz the surface area is larger and smoother than the nook of the underarm. Who knows! Maybe my leg hairs weren't long enough or something (not that I regularly keep godzilla-like pits...). I've only used this item twice, but I am not too excited with the results on the legs. I don't have a lot of hair, they are sparse but dark, so I will wait a little while for the leg hairs to get longer before using it again. Also, this little machine is very very loud. It's quite embarassing to use if there are other people in the house...
Customer Review: No more WAXing, PLUCKing, or downright SHAVEing.
I've had my X'elle for 3 months now. I purchased mine for $58.99 on amazon when it was the deal of the day. The epilator is sturdy and the light is a definite plus. It's very easy to switch from the epilator head to the shaving head. Braun was nice enough to supply us with a little brush that helps to clean the hairs from both the epilator head and the shaver head. The bag is very cute and compact which is great for travel. It holds everything including the manual. After 3 months of use, my light tends to turn off (from the vibration i think), but all I have to do is push down on the piece and it comes on again. I'm thinking that pushing it down connects the light to some sort of circuit under neath the part. Not a big deal. 40 spinning tweezers at even the low setting looks shockingly fast. The epilator head design is very unique and trustworthy. 3 months of use and it still hasn't pinched my skin with the tweezers. Not even on my elbow or knees. If you're a regular shaver like me, than brace yourself for the pain. I was only able to get through with one leg the first time and it must have taken a good 10min with the breaks i gave my poor leg. Rest assure that it is very painful only the first few times. Once you make it a habit to epilate once a week or at the sign of hair growth, then the pain is bearable or nonexistent. The messaging rollers don't help much but it's better to have that attachment on then with the regular attachment on the epilator. The clear trimming attachment for the shaver is very useful to get the hairs down to the right size before epilating. It helps to reduce the pain caused from tugging the hair. Also it helps the tweezers get a closer grip when the hair is short. I've only used it on my legs, arms, and upper lip so far. Not able to muster up the courage to epilate under arms or bikini area, but that's what the shaver head is for :-) Do not epilate before making a public appearance. Your skin may seem fine, but the redness will kick in after a few min. Best used before sleeping. I run the epilator with an alcohol pad to disinfect it before use. just hold the pad against the back portion of the roller and turn the epilator on on low. The only reason not to get this epilator would be to get a cordless one so you are not restricted to epilate in areas with an outlet, or a wet & dry epilator so you can epilate in a nice warm shower when your pores are open, hence less pain :) But with all that in mind, this is the cheapest and a very popular epilator for the lack of those options.

Rough treatment of any kind - whether shampooing, brushing, or something else entirely - can damage individual hairs permanently. Unfortunately, once a strand is damaged, it can't be repaired. To keep the damage from moving up the strand and compromising more of the hair, a haircut is your only option. To keep hair shiny, and voluminous, you must be mindful of how you treat strands. Abuse them and you will be repaid in split ends, frayed shafts, and brittleness.

Styles to avoid

Each person's hair has a different personality. Except for the area around my face, where it's straight, my hair likes to wave in zigzags down my back. Perhaps your hair's natural inclination is to hang stick-straight or to leap away from your head in crazy curlicues. Fight your hair's disposition and you end up in a battle of wills for hairstyle dominance. Sure, you can make your ringlets straight, but you're going to have to beat them into submission with a relaxer service, or blow-dry them every morning, and perhaps you'll even need to use a straightening iron.

If you want to live peacefully with your hair, you've got to learn to accept it's natural tendencies, which brings me to this rule of thumb: The more a finished hairdo differs from your God-given hair, the rougher you'll need to be with your strands. For example, to look curly, straight hair must undergo permanent waves, curling irons, or being shaped by rollers. To look straight, curly locks must submit to relaxing services, the blow-dryer, or straightening irons. To look full, thin hair is often set on rollers and heavily backcombed. And so on. So when it comes to hairstyles, the least damaging looks (and the easiest to achieve) are those that go with your hair's natural flow.

Using hair ornaments wisely

I grew up wearing barrettes. My sister always had ponytails. Every morning before school, I sat on my mother's bed. She would stand next to me and run a fine-tooth comb through my long, wavy, very tangled hair. After parting my hair, my mother gathered the tresses above each ear and forced the strands into metal drugstore barrettes. Then she would go to work on my sister's hair: pulling the strands tight for a neat, smooth finish, then winding the ponytail holder again and again and again around the blonde pigtails until my sister's coif was secure enough to withstand tag, monkey bars, kickball and grade school boys. When we finally stumbled from the house and onto the sidewalk, we were joined by neighborhood girls wearing beribboned hair clips, plastic headbands, red or yellow rubber bands, baubled ponytail holders,or small barrettes shaped like bows or puppies. As we walked toward the elementary school, one of us, then another would move a hand toward our heads - but our strands were so tightly fixed in place that nothing ever moved.

The average non-damaged strand is strong enough to suspend 3/5 oz (100 grams) in weight.

During our childhoods, it seemed essential that hair stayed put. Today we know better. When hair ornaments pull tresses tautly in place, or when they clamp down tightly around strands, they stress the hair shaft and weaken its cuticle layer. (I won't even go into the headaches that incorrectly worn hair ornaments can give.) When using hair ornaments, keep locks somewhat loose, do not overstuff the barrette, clip, or ponytail holder, and don't wear the same style day after day - another way to stress certain portions of the strand and cause breakage. Furthermore, when shopping for hair ornaments, look for barrettes, clips, and headbands with smooth finishes. Ponytail holders should be soft with no visible metal that can catch hair - and don't ever use rubber bands on hair. They are notorious cuticle-strippers.

The Book of Natural Skin Care

It can be difficult to choose a skin care line that is suitable for your needs because of the deluge of skin care products that have flooded the cosmetics market. We usually wind up using the trial and error routine to sort through the countless cosmetic products.

A person will usually purchase one skin care regimen and then try it for a couple weeks or a month. After that period, a decision will be made on whether it's truly working or not. This process will be repeated again and again until a product that improves the overall clarity, texture, and appearance of the complexion is discovered.

However, there are many disadvantages to using the trial and error method. For example, some of the skin care products could end up worsening the situation of your skin. This method also cost a lot of time and money. You should give Aveda cosmetics a shot if you want to save time and money.

About five years ago, I came across an Aveda store for the first time when I was doing some random shopping with my wife. My wife and I began to browse and check out all the fine Aveda cosmetics and skin care lines at the store. The first thing I noticed at the store was their sales pitch. According to the sales person their products are made with natural botanicals and plant extracts.

I became curious so I picked up a bottle of one of the products and smelled it. I have to say that Aveda cosmetics have an amazing smell. I was impressed because I wanted my wife to smell like this. My wife decided to try their skin care line for normal to combination skin after some sampling. Since then, she has used nothing but Aveda cosmetics and skin care products.

Are you also interested in these products? If you do, then you should ask for a sample. You can always ask to sample something when you have doubts. Tell the sales person hat you're interested, but would prefer to try Aveda cosmetics before purchasing them. Now, you should remember that these products aren't drugstore cosmetics. That means that these products are a bit more expensive than Neutrogena. Nevertheless, the quality of Veda cosmetics makes it worth the price.

Morgan Hamilton offers expert advice and great tips regarding all aspects concerning Aveda Cosmetics. Visit our site for more helpful information about Aveda Cosmetics and other similar topics.

State Exam Review for Professional Barber-Styling 3E

This book presents a review of the material that may be covered on a state licensing exam for barber-styling. It employs multiple-choice questions, a form of examination that has been widely adopted by the majority of the state boards and sponsors of nationally distributed tests. Groups of questions have been arranged under major area. It is advisable that the review of a particular subject take place soon after its presentation in the classroom, both to reinforce retention of the material by students and to provide instructors with a means of evaluating their students' knowledge. The content of the book mirrors advances in professional barber-styling. The book will serve as a valuable aid to students as they prepare for their licensing examination, whether it be a state or a national test.
Customer Review: Easy reading but do not have Chinese translation
Barber-Stylists from China, Hong Kong or Taiwan who cannot understand English will not able to take full advantage of this great book. If the book have someone translate it to Chinese, it will help my friends to stay in their field.

The cosmetic industry has been pulling the wool over your eyes as their cosmetics continue to have ingredients that are harmful and even deadly to human health. But they have no shame since they continue to add these ingredients to their cosmetics because they make the product smell better, flow nicer, cost less, dilute easy, easy to obtain, and fool you that they work.

These ingredients contaminate all forms of personal care products, such as soaps, facial creams, lotions, shampoos, conditioners, hair gels, and toothpaste. If you can not eat these products, than you should not be using them. Every time you put cosmetics and their ingredients onto your skin, they are suck into your blood and immediately go to your liver just as if you had chewed them and swallowed.

Does the cosmetic industry care about how harmful these ingredients are? Not really. They have been using these ingredients since these ingredients were discovered and found useful for their products. Of course, they do testing to make sure there are no major side effects on the skin or scalp, but a lot of the side effects don't show up quickly, since side effects would be related to diseases, which takes awhile to develop. And when these diseases develop, they are no longer related to the skin products used.

Here are some of the most frequently used cosmetic ingredients, which are toxic to your body and can create disease.

Acrylamide, Acrylate, Butylaminoethyl, Methylacrylate polymer - These are synthetic polymers that are used in some body creams, shampoos, nail lacquers, fabrics. Animal laboratory testing has been linked to tumors. They are also known to cause various skin issues and allergic reactions.

Parabens, Are para-hydroxybenzoic acid esters (methyl, propyl, butyl) - Are used as a preservative in cosmetics. It is estimated that 13,200 cosmetic and skin care products contain parabens. These chemicals are toxic and cause allergies. Some studies connect these chemicals with cancer. They have also shown to have hormone-disrupting qualities by mimicking estrogen and causing problems in the endocrine system.

Propylene glycol - This chemical derived from petroleum and is a synthetic product. Because it attracts water it is used in cosmetics as a surfactant, solvent and humectant. It is used as a moisturizer in cosmetics and as a carrier in fragrance oils. It is also used in antifreeze and hydraulic brake fluid. It is toxic and causes allergic reactions. It affects the health of the liver and kidney. It also irriates the skin and prevent normal skin health growth.

Sodium laurel, lauryl sulfate (SLS), sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) - Is a white powder used in thousands of cosmetic products and non-cosmetic products. SLS is a strong degreaser that dries the skin and hair. It can also cause hair loss. Used in many products that are called natural as a result these products are not natural. This product is found in shampoos, toothpastes, lotions, and creams. It is also found in many car washes, engine degreasers, and garage floor cleaners. When combined Triethanolamine (TEA) it can become a nitrosamine, which is a potent class of carcinogen.

Mineral Oil, Paraffin, and Petrolatum - Are hydrocarbons which come from petroleum products. On the skin, it is heavy and greasy and clogs pores. It is toxic and leads to skin issues. It disrupts natural skin grown causing skin aging. It is also suspected cause of cancer and disrupts hormonal activity. If take internally, it prevents the absorption of nutrient into the blood in the small intestines.

Phenol carbolic acid, Phenolic compounds - Are used as a preservative and found in many lotions and skin creams. They are toxic and can cause paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.

Benzoic Acid, sodium benzoate - is used as a preservative in cosmetics and foods. Often combined with sodium bisulfites, which are banned in some countries. This is a dangerous additive, since in low amounts it has been associated with brain damage, neurological disorders, and cancer.

Dioxane PEG, Polysorbates, Laureth, ethoxylated alcohols - Found in many cosmetics and other personal care products. It is easily absorbed through the skin and has been found to be carcinogenic.

BHA and BHT - Butylated hydroxyanisole and butylated hydroxytoluene. These chemicals are synthetic antioxidants used in foods and cosmetics. Please avoid them, since they are toxic and may contain toluene which quite toxic.

There are hundreds of other chemicals you should know about so that you can avoid them in the products you use. All of them create problems on your skin, cause internal organ damage, or create diseases - acetone, aluminum chemicals, amyl dimethyl para, chloroxylenol, butylenes glycol, diammonium citrate, formalin or formaldehyde, and list goes on.

If you want good cosmetics and ingredients, check the cosmetics you plan to buy and look for more natural ingredients. Here is a list of good natural cosmetic ingredients - herbs, aloe vera, jojoba oil, coconut oil, natural palm oil, shea butter, olive oil, castile soap, yucca root, lactalbumin, balsam tolu, coconut fatty acids, benzoin gum, witch hazel, myrrh. This list is just a start for you to start looking for more good ingredients in cosmetics and other personal care products you use.

The battle to stop cellulite is more difficult that it may seem. Unlike body fat and extra weight being carried on other parts of your body cellulite cannot simply be burned off by dieting, or massive quantities of exercise. Cellulite is not caused by being overweight as many might think, rather it is caused by dehydrated and damaged skin. So in order to stop cellulite you must focus on first improving the skin, then getting rid of the cellulite. This article explores how creams and lotions can stop cellulite, and more specifically what ingredients you should look for, and the results you can expect.

How do creams stop cellulite?

It's become a very big market, anti cellulite products, but do they work? Yes, and no. Understanding what these creams are capable of will ensure you're expectations aren't to high before you begin using them. Most of these products are developed by cosmetic companies, so they are not FDA approved, and therefore are not medical creams. They contain natural ingredients (which we'll discuss below) that work to moisturize, tone, and firm the skin where it's applied.

The effects of cellulite creams are a firmer more toned skin which reduces the appearance of the dimples that are caused by cellulite.

Which ingredients are important

Most creams contain some form of caffeine, this is important to dehydrate fat cells, and improve the appearance of your skin. Along with caffeine most have some form of green tea or seaweed extract and several other natural ingredients that are known to improve the physical appearance of your skin. Some creams claim to use their own special technology to deliver ingredients below the skins surface and have effects directly on the fat cells that are stuck in the deep tissues in your legs, arms, buttocks, and stomach.

What type of results should I expect?

Most creams suggest you should see results and stop cellulite in the 4-5 week mark. You need to apply the product according to the manufacturers directions continuously if you want the desired results. Eventually you will reach a maximum point of benefit from the cellulite cream at which point some creams suggest you can cut back your application from normally twice a day to once a day. An important point to remember is that once you start using these stop cellulite creams you're required to use them forever if you wish to continue having the desired results (reduced appearance of cellulite).

Permanent cosmetic makeup is a tattooing technique whereby makeup is made permanent by applying pigment to the top layers of the dermis by the use of traditional and modern tattooing techniques. While permanent cosmetics are commonly used to hide many skin defects including burns and scars, they are also used as a means of applying makeup permanently. The most common procedures done are eyeliner, eyebrows, lip liner, and full lip color. Some technicians offer eye shadow and cheek blush as well.

There are many reasons why people should want their makeup to be permanent, not the least of which is to save time. Working women and female athletes are quite happy to have their makeup tattooed permanently into their skin. They no longer have to worry about smudged lipstick or the effects of bad weather on their face because nothing can smudge and nothing can run. They will always look their best, even first thing in the morning.

It also saves them a lot of time. The amount of time women have to spend getting their makeup 'just so' is time lost to many of them, and permanent makeup is ideal for them. Should they need a change now and again, then they can use regular makeup as the exception rather than as the rule.

Others who would appreciate permanent cosmetics are the elderly. There are many reasons for this, though medical reasons are more common than vanity or expediency in their case. Many older women are unable to apply cosmetics as they once could due to a number of conditions. The trembling of palsy or Parkinson's disease render many unable to apply lipstick or eye makeup without smearing it, and many find it difficult to hold cosmetics due to arthritis and multiple sclerosis. There are other conditions that make it very difficult for them to look after themselves in this way, such as poor vision and the inability to see to put their makeup on.

For the elderly such as these, permanent makeup would be a blessing. They would no longer have to struggle to put on their brows before being able to go out in the morning, and would also feel the confidence of knowing that they will always look their best. They would no longer feel housebound due to an inability to make themselves look good.

Another group that welcomes a degree of permanence in their makeup are sportsmen and women, who want to compete but also look good. Why should they have to make a choice? Why not look good as they triumphantly climb out of the pool? The term 'degree of permanence' was used advisedly, since no tattoo is truly permanent. There is a gradual fading and the cosmetics have to be maintained at the required level, especially if their purpose is to hide a defect such as a scar.

There is a wide range of the type of cosmetic work available, including eyebrow definition using natural looking hair strokes to simulate hair, or a soft "penciled in" look if the client so desires. For a more natural look to the eyes, lash enhancement can make the lashes look fuller without an "eyeliner" look. Lip color and lip liner can be done to define the client's natural lip line that may have faded through the years due to aging or smoking. Topical anesthetics are used in most cases to keep the client comfortable during the procedure, which should last about an hour on average.

There are many other reasons why people choose permanent makeup. No one is born perfect, and some people might want makeup artistry done to give a "wide open" look to the eyes, or brows reshaped to give a youthful appearance. Permanent makeup is an alternative to cosmetic surgery in some simple cases, and a lot less painful with fewer potential complications. However, like surgery, there is a healing time of about a week, during which the colors soften and heal with a natural appearance.

If you are interested in permanent cosmetics, make sure to interview your artist. Ask to see "healed" photos of their work, and make sure they are licensed as required by the local authorities. If in doubt, ask for references from former clients. Those who are members of professional organizations such as The Society of Permanent Cosmetics Professionals, and the American Academy of Micropigmentation, usually take their art very seriously. Remember, this is a form of tattooing, and the work will be there for a very long time. Now is not the time to go "price shopping" for the best deal.

In the end, permanent cosmetics can give you a sense of freedom and confidence knowing that the next storm is not going to affect your eyeliner or lipstick, because you neither have nor need them!

Heading South? the Style Bible for Women over 40

Today, air pollution has become a distressing reality in most parts of the world. Ecologists never tire to remind us about the need to maintain the delicate environmental balance between humans and plants to ensure the healthy survival of the human species. Plants and trees, natures natural mechanism to purify the air that we breathe, have been successfully doing the job of air-purification for us for the last thousands of years. Our symbiotic relationship with them ensures that they cleanse our air of carbon dioxide, which they use for their survival, in exchange for oxygen, which is a necessity for our survival.

However, mankinds progress in the last hundred years has hindered this long standing arrangement with our natural environment. Mankinds progress towards an industrialized society has led to more machines which in turn have led to more pollution. The invention of automobiles and the smoke they collectively emit has contributed to the overall degradation of the air quality. Governments over the world are trying to control the air pollution by introducing regulations on permissible emission levels of industries.

Today weve reached a threshold where it has become necessary to invent and design appliances that will lend a hand in maintaining a healthy environment for humans to live in. These gadgets are commonly known as are air-purifiers.

Development of home air-purifiers

You will be surprised to learn that there are many sources of indoor air pollution. These include combustive sources such as oil, gas, kerosene, coal, wood; cigarettes and other products made from tobacco; building supplies such as paint and asbestos; furnishings such as wet and damp carpets and certain pressed wood furniture; household cleaning agents, like air freshners, personal care and cosmetic products; central heating and cooling systems such as air conditioners; outdoor sources such as pesticides all contribute to air-pollution. Some release pollutants in the air continuously while others like cleaning solvents and paint strippers do so intermittently.

Many homes are designed to let in and out as little outside air as possible. Unless they are built with special mechanical means of ventilation, in such homes pollution levels can build up to injurious levels giving rise to allergies, asthma, hypersensitivity pneumonitis colds or other viral diseases

Thus, manmade air-purifiers have today become essential to enhancing indoor air quality.

Cellulite Reduction Cream

Cellulite Reduction CreamOver 90% of women over the age of 30 will develop some form of celluliteIt is a sad but true fact that cellulite affects the majority of women and it appears that no-one is safe, as it can affect both thin and overweight women. There are a number of factors that determine how much cellulite you have which include hormonal changes, family history, genetics, age, pollution and lifestyle, including diet, activity levels, smoking, alcoholic intake and stress.A large part of cellulite is comprised of toxins, fluids and fat which become trapped deep in the skin. The connective tissue thickens and hardens, resulting in a dimpling appearance. As we grow older, the layer of skin thins, resulting in the bulging rippled look we are all far too familiar with and all despise. Some women are prepared to take drastic and potentially damaging surgical measures, or indeed spend a great deal of money to rid themselves of this problem, but thankfully this is no longer necessary with the help of a new treatment called Cellu-loss.How It WorksA unique combination of active ingredients delivered directly into the fat cells Cellu-Loss is a topical cream that can be applied to both the buttocks and thighs. It contains a unique combination of active ingredients which are delivered directly to the affected area by a time released liposome delivery system. Liposomes are used to transport these ingredients through the layers of skin and into the fat cells themselves. Once inside, they go to work to help the ingredients stimulate the metabolism in the fat cells, so they will eventually reduce in individual size and flatten the dimpled, âorange peelâTM appearance of cellulite. The result -- a smoother, firmer, more toned contour! * Reduces cellulite to reveal smoother, firmer skin * Easy to apply, and has a non-sticky, non-greasy formula * No harmful side effects or danger to health * Affordable solution

Winter, with its myriad of parties and pressies, is the most festive time of the year. Winter months and cold weather can be harsh on your skin. During the winter months, the combination of lower temperatures and reduced humidity extracts moisture from your skin. Your skin needs moisture to stay hydrated and healthy. Cold, dry winter air is very damaging to skin because it literally removes all moisture. The low humidity common in many parts of the United States during winter can cause dry, irritated skin.

When skin becomes dry and irritated, eczema can flare. Wear Sunglasses - the glare of sun off snow causes an increased UV threat to eyes so choose sunglasses that block Drink Plenty of Water - air travel and outdoor exercise can quickly dehydrate the body, so drinking water is essential to keeping the bodys organs functioning optimally. Drinking 6-8 glasses a day is recommended. Use Skin Moisturizers and Protectants - protect your skin by using a moisturizer to seal moisture in. Rejuvenate skin Many people use topical night creams and other cosmetic products containing retinoids. These can help reduce facial lines, wrinkles and age spots.

Wear Breathable Fabrics - look for fabrics that "breathe" to help keep sweat and moisture away from skin. Apply moisturiser to damp skin after showering. After patting -- not wiping off-- your body with a towel, slather on a rich cream. Long, hot showers can rob your skin of much-needed moisture. To avoid this, shower as infrequently as possible -- every other day if you feel comfortable. Dry and cracking hands and feet are common in colder months. To treat hands, reduce the frequency of hand washing (which saps moisture from skin) and apply a Hand Cream. Skin really takes a beating from wind and cold and needs extra protection. Avoid exfoliating. The dry air in many homes actually exfoliates skin.

Apply toners and astringents sparingly These are liquids used after cleaning, just before applying a moisturizer. Stimulate and exfoliate Rubbing the skin's surface daily with a scrub or washcloth stimulates the skin and removes dead cells, which can clog the pores. Keep a lip balm in your car, at work, in the kitchen and bedroom. If you apply it regularly, those lips will stay soft and moist.

Winter Skin Tips

1. Use a heavier, richer moisturiser.

2. Drink eight glasses of water a day; this will help your throat, as well as your skin.]

3. Eat foods high in heart-healthy oils to lubricate you from the inside out.

4. Drink a glass of hot water with lemon.

5. Use Skin Moisturizers to protect your skin.

6. Wash your face with a mild cleanser and rinse with lukewarm water.

7. Drink plenty of water.

8. Eat healthy and take your vitamins.

Cellulite is a pesky problem for a lot of people. Are you one of them? If you are then you know that the dimpled orange peel look of cellulite on your legs, arms, or stomach can stop you from doing things you love, such as going to the beach, or wearing particular styles of clothes. Well it's time to stop all that, it's time you considered a real solution to the problem, it's time to consider anti cellulite lotion. How ever do these cellulite cream products work? This article explores that question, more specifically what these products claim to do, what they actually can do, and what type of results you can expect. By the end of this article you should be able to make your own decision about whether anti cellulite lotion is worth trying,

What some products claim to do

Some anti cellulite products make very big claims. They suggest they can help you burn fat, and drop inches from your waist line. I want to say this now, no cellulite lotion is able to help you lose weight. These are cosmetic products that can produce cosmetic results. How ever they cannot, and will not burn fat, or permanently get rid of cellulite for you. How ever this isn't to say that they're not worth using, let's first consider what they are capable of doing.

What anti cellulite lotions can do

Anti cellulite lotions work to reduce the visual effects and appearance of cellulite on your body. They are capable of doing this, and some creams and lotions do it very well, along with some fantastic moisturizing benefits. How do they do it? Well, by modifying how your skin looks and feels, along with dehydrating and flattening fat cells in the deeps tissues cellulite creams can effectively give your skin a smoother and softer appearance, rather then the dimpled looks of cellulite. So, if these cosmetic creams can help get rid of the look of cellulite on my body, how long does it take for me to see results?

What type of results you can expect using Anti cellulite products

The results portion of how anti cellulite lotions work is the most difficult to talk about. Why? Because not every product works the same for every person. Some people see results in a few weeks while some it may take two months. The end result is the same, reduce appearance of cellulite, with softer, smoother, more toned skin. How ever different people will experience different degrees of success. I have read numerous reviews of different anti cellulite products that claim results in 3-4 weeks with no more dimples or orange peel appearance to their legs, how ever for everyone of those positive reviews there is someone who could get the results they expected.

My suggestion? Without trying you won't know what results you can see using these products. Do some of your own research on the different brands available, and choose a product to try. There are some excellent cellulite lotions that offer Free trials online, and usually will provide you with a whole months supply. This is an excellent way to test out a product before you commit to using it for the long term.

Who would've imagined that modern beauty trends would result in a long-distance dance relationship with a raging galactic nuclear furnace? Our sun, a seemingly safe 43 million miles away, is much more than the gravitational mother lode for our solar system.

Shooting out a hail of light, and radiation, the sun literally creates the summer time beach experience for many artfully tanned women and men. But, all this at some price to you skin.

Well known to most sun worshipers, the sun is both beauty friend and skin damage foe. Into the beauty-versus-sun skin damage fray step the many tried and proven sunscreen lotions, oils and sprays, along with some more futuristic high tech products.

Looking At The "Source" of Sun Damaged Skin - The Sun.

Any sun worshiper ought to have at least a sketchy understanding of what they're actually dealing with when lighting up under the hot eye of the sun.

Across the broad spectrum of energy emitted by the sun each instant are extremely harmful wavelengths living in the spectrum measuring between 290 to 400 nanometers. Whether you know it by name, you know it by experience. This is the sun's "ultraviolet" spectrum where the so-called "short wave" ultraviolet B rays slice through your skin's outer layers...and you experience literal burning like a French fry in oil.

"Short wave" ultraviolet B rays are the same solar rays that not only deliver an immediate burning impact, but when permitted unprotected exposure to your skin reveal more deadly potentials. Indeed the "dark side" of the sun's light includes skin altering carcinomas and melanoma. These are serious health risks to be avoided.

The New Guys For Reducing Sun Damaged Skin.

Anyone visiting a skin care counter knows it's a product jungle out there, with tens of hundreds of skin rejuvenation, skin protection and skin repair and recovery products to choose from.

Here's what you need to look for in terms of prevention as well as sun damaged skin treatments.

* Products That Block A Broader Spectrum - Ultraviolet B Rays And A Rays.

Choose a sunscreen product that gives you "short ray" UVB protection. New formulas fresh from years of success in Europe include mexoryl. However, mexoryl functions as an "additive" rather than the final defensive solution for preventing sun damaged skin. Youll find mexoryl filling in the solar spectrum "gap" between UVA blocking compounds such as octocrylene.

* Old Standbys - Zinc Oxide Sunscreen. Well marketed, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide road-block most ultraviolet A solar rays...however falls short of filtering out ultraviolet B rays. Always look for labels that describe the product as a "broad spectrum" skin protectorant.

* Old Fashioned But Effective - Vitamin C Paste. Inexpensive Vitamin C powder, mixed with ordinary water and spread onto your skin gives you low cost, effective sun protection, without any fear of chemical side-effects.

* Checking Whether Your Product Is "Sun Stable".

It does you no good if your sunscreen product is not stable under intense light conditions, or washes off after you swim or perspire. Some products including the avobenzone compound give broad-spectrum sun screening, yet regrettably remain fragile and tend to break down under the sun unless combined with other compounds. When in doubt...reapply more sun screen.

Biggest Challenge - Daily Use And Consistency.

Who can remember seemingly exotic compound names, like mexoryl or octocrylene or even zinc oxide? Youve got a far simpler solution, that doesn't rely on more than one simple idea, namely repetitive use. Ask any dermatologist and they'll unhesitatingly reply that "regular daily use, throughout the year" is a far more comprehensive solution to minimize skin damage from sun than occasional use of a high tech product.

Find out more about preventing sun damaged skin along with skin rejuvenation treatments, facial line skin therapies, health risks, what takes place in each treatment, how to choose the right skin and beauty therapist and more.

Aroma Remedy Ancient Sea Spa Salts 23 Oz Blend Of Tea Tree, Geranium, And May Chang (preservative Free)

Aroma Aroma Remedy Ancient Sea Spa Salts 23 Oz Blend Of Tea Tree, Geranium, And May Chang (preservative Free)

A lot of people start having a bad day the moment they look in the mirror. Pimples and other facial anomalies can develop during sleep. Since individuals normally cannot control movement and position during sleep, the face can be prone to a lot of dirt and stress even amidst blankets and bed sheets. Here are some tips on how to achieve that fresh look every waking moment.

Get Enough Sleep

Lack of sleep and inadequate rest periods can predispose individuals to unwanted pimples, eyebags and dark circles. Adults should aim for at least 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep every night while teenagers should get 8 to 10 hours regularly. Young adults and menstruating women should avoid going to bed late or stay past their bedtime since their hormones are not yet stable. Any unnecessary stress will take its toll on the skin leading to irritation and breakouts.

It is advisable that people wake up on their own accord without the assistance of an alarm clock to ensure that their body and skin in particular is fully rested. Full sleep also helps detoxify the body and maintain regular anti-inflammatory and anti-infection functions of organs and cells which in turn lead to healthy skin. Staying late once a week is acceptable considering that the person makes up for it the next day through a one or two-hour nap at noon.

Hands Off Please

As much as possible, people should practice keeping their hands away from their faces at all times. The hands can harbor a lot of bacteria and irritants that can transfer and cause zits. Experts suggest that sleeping on one side can reduce the number of times a person unconsciously touches his or her face during non-wakeful hours. Individuals may also assume the prone position with one side of the head rested on a clean pure cotton pillow. Some specially designed pillows have a huge hole in the middle where the head can be rested face down. At best, pimple sufferers should make it a habit to thoroughly wash their hands with clean water and soap before bedtime to remove any existing germs.

Washing Your Face Properly at Night

Oil can develop through the night continuing to clog pores and predisposing individuals to unwanted breakouts. Just before bedtime, the face should be thoroughly washed with hypoallergenic soap and water. Work into an adequate amount of lather then gently apply on the face. Avoid excessive scrubbing or directly rubbing the soap on the skin hard since this can irritate pores and cause inflammatory responses. Skin drying and flaking can also develop which makes the skin more vulnerable to germs and infection.

Use slow circular rhythmic patterns using the forefinger and middle finger and allow the skin to relax and rejuvenate. Rinse the entire face, neck and area behind the ears thoroughly with water. Use a soft cotton towel to pat the areas dry. Do not rub the towel hard against the skin to prevent irritation. Using too many soaps and cleansers may also tend to dry up the skin so it may be better to stick to only one or two.

Use the Right Products

There are so many cosmetic products available which are used regularly by millions to keep their skin looking radiant and fresh. Some are specifically made for nighttime application to prevent moisture and excessive oiling of the face. Experts do not recommend moisturizers at night since these can instead make matters worse in terms of oil accumulation. There are creams, oils and astringents available rich in vitamin A and E that help prevent irritation as well as revitalizes the skin for a great looking morning appearance.

There are also natural and herbal products known to have beneficial effects on the skin to treat and prevent acne during sleep. Some people suggest placing a slice of cucumber over each eye to prevent dark circles and eyebags while others place shredded papaya on their forehead and cheeks to improve skin condition in the area. Consuming some things may also have drastic effects on the person's appearance the morning after. A glass of water or milk is advised while several caution against taking decaffeinated coffee, sugary treats, oily food and alcohol before sleeping.
