Teeter Hang Ups F5000 Inversion Table

If you're plagued by back pain, stiff joints, or suffer from stress overload, consider the Teeter Hang Ups F5000 inversion table, which helps to counter the effects of too much time spent sitting, standing, or moving repetitively. It's also a great way to add extra crunch to exercises like sit-ups. The F5000 is specially engineered to provide a comfortable and secure inversion experience. The equipment features heat-treated, high quality carbon steel and triple-plated chrome.

The Teeter Hang Ups F5000 rotates on a pivot system. With simple arm movements (rotation is accomplished by shifting the weight of the arms), the table easily rotates to any comfortable angle. The smooth rotation allows for oscillation and intermittent traction. Adjustable roller hinges allow you to pre-select three levels to control the aggressiveness of rotation, and the tether strap allows you to pre-select the maximum angle of inversion. Comfortable ankle clamps hold you securely while inverting. Additional support can be gained by use of the optional Teeter Hang Ups Gravity Boots.

It's able to lock at full 90 degrees inversion (this is only possible when using the more aggressive roller hinge setting). While at 90 degrees, you can perform inverted sit-ups and squats. The table is self-controlled and can be unlocked with simple arm movements.

Feature Detail:

  • Removable, washable nylon mat with triple-stitched seams removes easily for cleaning
  • Teflon embedded epoxy-coated roller hinges for guaranteed smooth rotation with no squeaks for the life of the table; patented cam locks ensure proper assembly
  • Durable, injection-coated rubber hand grips feature an embossed guide to the angles of inversion
  • Adjustable tether strap allows you to preset the tether strap for worry-free inversion to any angle
  • Heat treated high quality carbon steel used in key structural components for increased strength and durability
  • Curved foam ankle clamps offer a unique design that allows for greater comfort and security while inverted
  • Self-locking hinges secure the table bed to the A-frame for improved security and portability
  • De-rattler knob reduces shaft movement to allow for quiet, shift-free rotation--the only design on the market to structurally engage the main shaft
  • Triple-plated chrome main shaft with steel wall thickness at least 20 percent greater than any main shaft on the market. Features embossed height markers in both inches and centimeters for easy adjustment
  • Height capacity: 4'8" to 6'6"
  • Weight capacity: 300 pounds
  • Assembled dimensions: 45 x 28 x 58 inches
  • Folded dimensions: 66 x 28 x 14 inches

The F5000 Inversion Table folds compactly for storage in a closet or in a corner. The nylon mat can be removed for washing. Every table comes with an instructional DVD and laminated owner's manual.

Customer Review: Love it!
It arrived in perfect condition and was very easy to put together. The unit is very sturdy and comfortable. Four of us use it, ranging from my 6'4" 220 lb. husband to our 5'2" son and it adjusts easily to all our different heights. It feels a little weird the first time, but you'll quickly get used to it. We started out at only about a minute and now go for 4 to 5 minutes each day. Fantastic relief for tight necks and sore lower backs. Even my knees feel looser.
Customer Review: Hang me up
I was thinking to get a bigger bulkier more expensive model, but glad I didnt, this is just fine - light, compact, easy to use, comfortable. DVD is nice and includes assembly instructions (I recommend watching b4 assembly) and has some pointers on how to use for stretching and exercising. What's the opposite of buyer's remorse?

It is important to know the early signs of Rosacea so that it can be caught and treated on time. The development of Rosacea usually starts with increased skin sensitivity. One may develop a sudden skin reaction to cosmetic products. Later on, the person appears to blush easily, with reddish patches resembling sunburn making its appearance on his or her face. These first signs are all temporary.

The symptoms of Rosacea, including flushing of the face, can also be caused by exposure to the sun and alcohol consumption. These will stimulate the blood vessels, normally tiny, to dilate and increase the blood flow to the face, causing it to become reddish in appearance. Women are often manifest the redness on the forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin, while the redness in men usually appear on the nose and on the chest and neck. One of the more unusual forms of the reddish pattern resembles a butterfly.

Those who suffer from Rosacea may also develop small, red pimples on the vicinity of the reddish patches of skin. These pimples may be similar to acne, but Rosacea pimples are distinguished by the lack of whiteheads or blackheads. Because of the dilation of the blood vessels, the face may have small, red lines. These are called teleangiectasie. Usually, they can be found on the cheek area. Men with Rosacea are predisposed to a condition called rhinophyma, or the enlargement and inflammation of the nose. This is caused by the increased secretions of the oil glands under the skin. These are usually observed in alcoholics.

Some of the more severe symptoms of Rosacea is the redness, burning or tearing sensation, dryness, and formation of crusted mucus in the eyes, causing irritation. Swollen eyelids, as well as conjunctivitis, are also common symptoms. Contact lenses cannot be tolerated by people suffering from this condition. In the more advanced stages of the disease, Rosacea can cause blurred vision. These symptoms are similar to the ones present in acne or lupus, which is why Rosacea can be easily misdiagnosed. The expansion and dilation of blood vessels in the face are believed to cause headaches in Rosacea patients.

Rosacea is known to develop in stages. The first stage features an increased tendency for blushing, eye irritation, and extreme skin sensitivity to cosmetic products. In the next stage, redness of the forehead, cheeks, and nose will appear at random intervals. Later on, teleangiectasie will develop on the facial area.

If left untreated, the redness and teleangiectasie will become more permanent. The affected area may also have small pimples at its edges. Symptoms that manifested in the eyes can become more serious, and, in some cases, one's vision can become severely compromised.

A lot of people start having a bad day the moment they look in the mirror. Pimples and other facial anomalies can develop during sleep. Since individuals normally cannot control movement and position during sleep, the face can be prone to a lot of dirt and stress even amidst blankets and bed sheets. Here are some tips on how to achieve that fresh look every waking moment.

Get Enough Sleep

Lack of sleep and inadequate rest periods can predispose individuals to unwanted pimples, eyebags and dark circles. Adults should aim for at least 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep every night while teenagers should get 8 to 10 hours regularly. Young adults and menstruating women should avoid going to bed late or stay past their bedtime since their hormones are not yet stable. Any unnecessary stress will take its toll on the skin leading to irritation and breakouts.

It is advisable that people wake up on their own accord without the assistance of an alarm clock to ensure that their body and skin in particular is fully rested. Full sleep also helps detoxify the body and maintain regular anti-inflammatory and anti-infection functions of organs and cells which in turn lead to healthy skin. Staying late once a week is acceptable considering that the person makes up for it the next day through a one or two-hour nap at noon.

Hands Off Please

As much as possible, people should practice keeping their hands away from their faces at all times. The hands can harbor a lot of bacteria and irritants that can transfer and cause zits. Experts suggest that sleeping on one side can reduce the number of times a person unconsciously touches his or her face during non-wakeful hours. Individuals may also assume the prone position with one side of the head rested on a clean pure cotton pillow. Some specially designed pillows have a huge hole in the middle where the head can be rested face down. At best, pimple sufferers should make it a habit to thoroughly wash their hands with clean water and soap before bedtime to remove any existing germs.

Washing Your Face Properly at Night

Oil can develop through the night continuing to clog pores and predisposing individuals to unwanted breakouts. Just before bedtime, the face should be thoroughly washed with hypoallergenic soap and water. Work into an adequate amount of lather then gently apply on the face. Avoid excessive scrubbing or directly rubbing the soap on the skin hard since this can irritate pores and cause inflammatory responses. Skin drying and flaking can also develop which makes the skin more vulnerable to germs and infection.

Use slow circular rhythmic patterns using the forefinger and middle finger and allow the skin to relax and rejuvenate. Rinse the entire face, neck and area behind the ears thoroughly with water. Use a soft cotton towel to pat the areas dry. Do not rub the towel hard against the skin to prevent irritation. Using too many soaps and cleansers may also tend to dry up the skin so it may be better to stick to only one or two.

Use the Right Products

There are so many cosmetic products available which are used regularly by millions to keep their skin looking radiant and fresh. Some are specifically made for nighttime application to prevent moisture and excessive oiling of the face. Experts do not recommend moisturizers at night since these can instead make matters worse in terms of oil accumulation. There are creams, oils and astringents available rich in vitamin A and E that help prevent irritation as well as revitalizes the skin for a great looking morning appearance.

There are also natural and herbal products known to have beneficial effects on the skin to treat and prevent acne during sleep. Some people suggest placing a slice of cucumber over each eye to prevent dark circles and eyebags while others place shredded papaya on their forehead and cheeks to improve skin condition in the area. Consuming some things may also have drastic effects on the person's appearance the morning after. A glass of water or milk is advised while several caution against taking decaffeinated coffee, sugary treats, oily food and alcohol before sleeping.

Millions of Americans suffer from the painful conditions of eczema. Not many people are familiar that there are a variety of eczema treatments available; and not many people who suffer from the condition have tried the natural ways to cure their infection. I am going to list 4 surefire solutions to alleviate eczema fast; not all treatments will be equally effective for you. You should be open to trying new methods and if something does not work keep an open mind; because eventually you will find something that will work.

1. Keep Your Skin Moisturized: After you shower and bathe you should apply an emollient to your body. An emollient contains a fat substance that will lock the moisture in your body and help keep it moist. Throughout the day keep a bottle of lotion close and throughout the day apply lotion to your hands to keep your skin from becoming dry. If you learn to keep your skin moist all the time you will be able to get rid of eczema fast.

Stay away from bubble baths and soaps with harsh chemicals and perfumes. When you take baths and showers use natural moisturizers such as oatmeal products and cetaphil; some people say this soap works wonders. I have also been told to stay away from soaps like Dove and Caress; however you will realize which ones are good for you and which ones are not.

2. Refrain From Scratching: I know that uncomfortable pain and discomfort is easy for you to begin scratching your infected areas; however this does nothing except cause flareups. Instead of scratching your skin ailment try rubbing them instead. You can apply some Noxema it will sooth the itching and is also known to help heal your eczema. These surefire solutions to alleviate eczema fast do work; just keep an open mind and be willing to try them.

3. Bedding: Only use 100% cotton material and keep your bedding washed and cleaned regularly; this will prevent bacteria from growing on it. Also do not wear that is made of wool or synthetic material as it will irritate your infection.

4. Visit Your Doctor: These natural cures do work; however if your symptoms are extreme then you should also take the time to visit your local doctor for the proper medicines. Your doctor will most likely prescribe a mild or topical steroid. Topical steroids are the best choice; because they will calm your eczema outbreaks. Mild steroids should only be taken in small doses because large does can have an adverse effect on your health.

If possible do not use the steroids (mild or topical) as they can have harmful side effects on your body.

The 4 surefire solutions to alleviate eczema fast are sure to work if you apply them consistently. Do not expect your eczema to go away over night; it will take time but your skin will look healthy and beautiful again. If you found these tips helpful then feel free to visit our website below for more valuable information that can help you cure your eczema skin condition.

Teeth whitening is a common household term that nearly anyone looking to brighten their smile has taken part in. Whether you've gone to the local dentist, or bought a home kit at Wal-Mart, teeth whitening is becoming one of the more popular beauty treatments. Today, people demand instant results, and the technology has allowed for teeth whitening to deliver on that promise.

Popularity aside, teeth whitening has its drawbacks. The use of chemical bleaches and peroxides can have adverse side effects on some individuals. As a result the global market is now turning towards a more natural whitening process.

Recently, products with herbal ingredients that help remove plaque and stains from the teeth have been gaining popularity. Popular ingredients in these products may consist of silica, bamboo powder, calcium carbonate, and sodium chloride. Although studies claim these products work to aid in the whitening process, they can take a long time to produce desired results, and must be used in a consistent manner.

However, some feel that the delay in results is a fair trade off for non-chemical, non-harmful whitening process. The impact of natural whiteners on the tissues of the mouth and tooth enamel is minimal if present at all. To this day, no side effects have been reported using a bamboo powder paste, or a sodium chloride / calcium carbonate mixture.

Another advantage to natural teeth whiteners is that they can be prepared in the home. The basic ingredients can be purchased at any regular grocery store, and preparation is easy. What's better, the herbs and natural ingredients used in the whitening products are based on hundreds or thousands of years of wisdom from ancient civilizations. The actual science behind the whitening process by the chemicals is beyond the scope of this article, but a quick trip to any local library will provide you with all necessary information.

The last, and to some the most important advantage to natural whiteners is the savings. A professional laser whitening process at a dental office can set you back several thousand dollars depending on the type of treatment, and how many repeat visits are required. Even the whitener products found on the shelves in grocery stores can be several hundred dollars. To many, the cost to reward ratio in expensive commercial options just isn't there. Even those who are in the financial position simply won't opt for a professional job because of the risk associated with the bleaching compounds.

The bottom line is natural teeth whiteners provide yet another option for those wanting a bright and dazzling smile without breaking the bank. Although commercial products and professional procedures are still the preferred method, research into natural whiteners has come a long way and will continue to progress.

Teenagers are prone to acne attacks, due to the changes that they experience physically and mentally. They undergo great hormonal changes, which play a vital role in producing pimples. Besides, stress, oily hair and usage of too many cosmetic products can initiate the growth. Both boys and girls can be victims, but in case of boys, the condition is worse, because their skin oozes out more oil. There are many teenage acne treatments. Choose the one that your doctor recommends.

The various treatments have been listed as follows:

Doctor's Advice

Doctor's advice is the best advice. Therefore, if your situation is quite serious, then be sure to visit a doctor. Doctors recommend topical treatments or oral medications. Antibiotic lotion and Azelaic acid are the suitable topical treatments. Retinoid medications are directly applied on the white head and black head pimples. It is usually in the form of lotion, gel and cream. Actually, Retenoid slower down the growth of Keratin and blocks hair follicles. The other topical treatments are antibiotic, salicylic acid and Glycolic acid.

The oral treatments are recommendable advice, which an individual has to follow at his/her own will. It may include antibiotics like, Erythromycin or Tetracycline. Isotretenoin is also an effective oral retenoid in treating acne.

Doctors sometimes recommend mechanical treatment. Here, the whiteheads and blackheads are removed mechanically. The process is simple and extracts the pimple from the root. First, a cream is applied to numb the area, then the acne is popped from the top and the inner content is gently removed. Even while buying any over-the-counter medicine like Benzoyl peroxide, it is advisable to consult a doctor.

Homemade Remedies

These are hassle-free remedies and you can prepare them at home quite easily. Maintaining a balanced diet counts a lot. Lots of fruits, vegetables and water should be included in your diet. Avoid greasy foods. Facial masks are also very effective for your skin. Add a dash of lemon juice to ground orange peel and put it on your face. Again, mixture of egg white and corn flour is also very effective in healing your skin. Remember that cucumber peels and juice can be used on your skin. It clears your skin and refreshes it instantly.

Acne can cause severe mental damage and suppress confidence. Parents in such cases should play an active role in boosting up their kid's confidence and tell them that patience can bear effective fruits. This can make them feel a lot better and regain the confidence to fight the bold pimples.

Irish moss is obtained from the dried thallus of Chondrus crisp us. It's a form of seaweed containing polysaccharides, vitamins, minerals, and iodine. The extract is known as carrageenan, a starch-like substance. This extract can be further differentiated into two types, k-carrageenan and I-carrageenan. The former type is the gelling fraction; the latter form is the non-gelling component.

Irish moss has expectorant, demulcent, anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant, antihypertensive, immunosuppressive, and antidiarrheal properties. It also interferes with the absorption of food, and may reduce serum cholesterol and possess antiviral activity. Irish moss is available as dried jellied fruit, jellies, puddings, raw leaves, and teas, in products such as Coreine, Gelcarin, Hydrogel, Seaspen, and Viscarin.

Reported uses

Irish moss is used to soothe irritating coughs that result from various respiratory infections, and to produce bulky stools in patients with chronic diarrhea. Because of its demulcent properties, Irish moss is also used to treat gastritis and peptic ulcer disease. Because it contains ammonium, calcium, magnesium, potassium and sodium esters of galactose and 3-G-anhydrogalactose copolymers it's also used as a nutritional supplement to facilitate recuperation in those with debilitating diseases. Irish moss can also be found as an ingredient in weight-loss products.

Irish moss is used as a skin softener in commercial cosmetic products and lotions. It's used topically to treat anorectal symptoms. In manufacturing, Irish moss can be used as a binder, emulsifier, thickener, and as a stabilizer in drugs, foods, and toothpaste.

Administration

A tea is prepared by boiling 1 oz (28 g) of dried plant in 1 to 2 pints of water for 10 to 15 minutes, and then straining. Dosage is 1 cup two to three times a day. Lemon, honey, ginger, or cinnamon may be added to enhance the flavor.

Hazards

Irish moss may cause bleeding, hypotension, cramping, diarrhea, and infection. There is an increased risk of bleeding when Irish moss is used concomitantly with anticoagulants. Irish moss may potentiate the hypotensive effects of antihypertensives. It may decrease the absorption of drugs. Advise patient to separate administration times by at least 2 hours.

Pregnant or breast-feeding patients should avoid use. Infants shouldn't be given Irish moss because it may suppress the immune system. Patients with underlying bleeding disorders or hypotension should use Irish moss with caution.

Clinical considerations

Monitor blood pressure regularly during the course of therapy with Irish moss. Patient should also be monitored for signs and symptoms of bleeding.

In patient receiving warfarin, closely monitor prothrombin time and International Normalized Ratio.

Tell patient to avoid taking Irish moss within 2 hours of other drugs.

If patient is taking Irish moss with an antihypertensive, instruct him to notify his health care provider if dizziness, light-headedness, or syncope occurs.

If patient is using Irish moss to treat diarrhea, advise him to consult his health care provider if the diarrhea persists for longer than 3 to 4 days.

Caution patient to keep Irish moss out of the reach of children.

Avoid products that contain the degraded form of Irish moss because it has been known to cause lesions in animals.

Store in airtight containers in a cool place.

Tell patient to notify pharmacist of any herbal or dietary supplement that he is taking when obtaining a new prescription.

Advise patient to consult his health care provider before using an herbal preparation because a conventional treatment with proven efficacy may be available.

Research summary

The concepts behind the use of Irish moss and the claims made regarding its effects haven't yet been validated scientifically.
