Customer Review: Plucks out some, not all
I was afraid to use this for a week after I got it because I was afraid it would be very painful. I thought I would just test it out on a little area of my leg, but it went so well that I did both legs and underarms in about 45 minutes on my first use. I've examined the hairs after this epilator pulled them out and it seems to be plucking hair from the underarm as I can see the little nasty roots of the hairs. On my legs, though, I am not quite sure. I can feel the machine pricking my skin, but after each use, my legs do not feel very smooth. I can feel the stubble already growing in! Like another reviewer has said, it seems to be only breaking the hairs off and not plucking from the roots. I am not sure why it works better on my underarms than legs because you would think it would be easier to epilate the leg cuz the surface area is larger and smoother than the nook of the underarm. Who knows! Maybe my leg hairs weren't long enough or something (not that I regularly keep godzilla-like pits...). I've only used this item twice, but I am not too excited with the results on the legs. I don't have a lot of hair, they are sparse but dark, so I will wait a little while for the leg hairs to get longer before using it again. Also, this little machine is very very loud. It's quite embarassing to use if there are other people in the house...
Customer Review: No more WAXing, PLUCKing, or downright SHAVEing.
I've had my X'elle for 3 months now. I purchased mine for $58.99 on amazon when it was the deal of the day. The epilator is sturdy and the light is a definite plus. It's very easy to switch from the epilator head to the shaving head. Braun was nice enough to supply us with a little brush that helps to clean the hairs from both the epilator head and the shaver head. The bag is very cute and compact which is great for travel. It holds everything including the manual. After 3 months of use, my light tends to turn off (from the vibration i think), but all I have to do is push down on the piece and it comes on again. I'm thinking that pushing it down connects the light to some sort of circuit under neath the part. Not a big deal. 40 spinning tweezers at even the low setting looks shockingly fast. The epilator head design is very unique and trustworthy. 3 months of use and it still hasn't pinched my skin with the tweezers. Not even on my elbow or knees. If you're a regular shaver like me, than brace yourself for the pain. I was only able to get through with one leg the first time and it must have taken a good 10min with the breaks i gave my poor leg. Rest assure that it is very painful only the first few times. Once you make it a habit to epilate once a week or at the sign of hair growth, then the pain is bearable or nonexistent. The messaging rollers don't help much but it's better to have that attachment on then with the regular attachment on the epilator. The clear trimming attachment for the shaver is very useful to get the hairs down to the right size before epilating. It helps to reduce the pain caused from tugging the hair. Also it helps the tweezers get a closer grip when the hair is short. I've only used it on my legs, arms, and upper lip so far. Not able to muster up the courage to epilate under arms or bikini area, but that's what the shaver head is for :-) Do not epilate before making a public appearance. Your skin may seem fine, but the redness will kick in after a few min. Best used before sleeping. I run the epilator with an alcohol pad to disinfect it before use. just hold the pad against the back portion of the roller and turn the epilator on on low. The only reason not to get this epilator would be to get a cordless one so you are not restricted to epilate in areas with an outlet, or a wet & dry epilator so you can epilate in a nice warm shower when your pores are open, hence less pain :) But with all that in mind, this is the cheapest and a very popular epilator for the lack of those options.

At times your dandruff problem becomes a cause of embarrassment in your work place and even at home. Dandruff appears on your hair as you brush them and further fall on to your face, shoulders and clothes. It is one of the most common hair related problems.

The cosmetic industry has been pouring a large number of chemical products made for dandruff cure. These products have not been accepted by the environment in a very good manner as they are costly and results have been lukewarm. There are numerous home remedies and natural products which not only cure dandruff but also make the hair look shiny and healthy.
Dandruff problem is a condition of the skin wherein shiny, silvery scales separate from the scalp and collect amidst the hair. The condition can become troublesome when the skin gets infected. If left untreated, it may turn into a more serious problem even leading to baldness in extreme cases.

Due to unawareness you may be unable to ascertain whether you have dandruff problem or not. Itching of scalp is the first sign of dandruff presence. Other than adults even kids are found to be scratching their scalp and at times to such an extent that it becomes red. With the onset of the problem, when the hair is combed or the scalp is scratched the scales fall on the shoulders and the face. With the drying of scalp, dandruff problem sets in. It may be which may be due to several reasons. Improper hair care, use of harsh shampoos, exposure to extreme heat and cold and exhaustion are some of the causes. Toxicity resulting due to wrong intake of food, constipation, and a low vitality to infectious diseases may also cause the problem.

The home remedies available for dandruff cure are very easy and are not cumbersome. Fenugreek seeds have been found to be one of the most important remedies for treatment of dandruff. Soak a handful of fenugreek seeds in water overnight. Grind it in the morning to form a thick paste. Apply the paste on to your scalp generously and leave it to dry on its own. It normally takes 30-45 minutes to dry. The scalp should then be cleansed thoroughly with soap nut solution or shikakai.

The other recommended cure dandruff is lime juice. Take two tablespoons of fresh lime juice and use it for the last rinse while washing the hair to get rid of dandruff. Regular use of lime juice not only removes dandruff but also makes the hair look shiny and non sticky.

Gram powder is also used as a cure for dandruff. Take handful of gram powder and mix it in a cup of curd to form a thick paste. Apply the paste to the hair and scalp and leave it for drying. Utmost care should be taken while washing out the paste as it leaves a pungent smell if not properly washed. Beet preferably white beet can also be used for dandruff cure. Boil the top and root of beet in water. Massage the boiled water on to the scalp with the finger tips every night to get rid of dandruff.

A well balanced diet is also recommended by dermatologist to remain away from dandruff. Fresh fruits and vegetables should form part of the food habits. People suffering from dandruff should avoid citrus fruits, bananas and tinned fruits. Strong tea/coffee, refined and processed food should also be avoided.

Home remedies do not have any form of side effects. They dont burn a hole in your pocket and have proved to be far more effective then cosmetic products. Go for them with confidence and be regular in the process. The results will be evident very soon. Make your hair dandruff free.

All pimples form the same way, but they have different characteristics and shapes. They also can behave differently on different people. Acne occurs when a hair follicle becomes clogged and inflamed. This forms what's called a comedo. As the follicle continues becoming even more clogged, the comedo becomes engorged and inflamed, and forms a pimple. There are several types of acne, and each requires a different treatment.

If the acne is not inflamed, this is usually a closed comedo, or a whitehead. With a whitehead, the clogged hair follicle stays underneath the surface of the skin, and it appears as a small whitish "pimple."

A blackhead is an open comedo where the plugged portion gets larger and pushes through the surface. It doesn't look black because of dirt, but because of the melanin in the skin. This is another type of inflammatory acne.

The least severe type of inflammatory acne is called a papule, a pink bump, small and firm, which appears on the skin's surface. These are sensitive to the touch and are often considered an "in between" of non-inflammatory and inflammatory acne.

Pustules resemble papules because they are round, small lesions. However, pustules are inflamed and contain pus. At the base, they are red and have a whitish or yellowish center. In general, they don't contain a lot of bacteria, but they are irritated and inflamed because of interaction with sebum components.

Cystic acne, also called nodular acne, is very painful. These nodules are pus filled, inflamed lesions that are lodged deep within the skin. They occur when a comedo has burst open and spilled into the surrounding skin; the immune system responds with pus. This type of acne might remain for weeks or even months, and eventually harden into a cyst. Both cysts and nodules can leave deep scars.

Acne conglobata is a type of inflammatory acne that's very rare. It forms primarily on the buttocks, back and chest. It, too, has pustules and nodules, and it may also eventually lead to severe bacterial infection.

Acne cosmetica is a relatively mild form of acne. This is caused by topical application of cosmetic products. It leads to small pink bumps, with inflammation occurring on the chin, cheek and forehead. It can develop over a few weeks or a few months, but usually does not cause scars. It can persist indefinitely, but can go away if you find out what's causing it. Therefore, it is imperative to find out what is causing this type of acne's appearance.

Once you find out what causes your acne, you can treat it. Your doctor can help you find out where it's coming from, so that you can cure it.

Acne is a terrible condition and supposed "cures" are a dime a dozen. Most of these cures are old-wives-tales, or myths and have no effect whatsoever on acne. There is, however, one treatment program that stands above the rest. To learn more visit: http://www.natural-cures-for-acne.com/
