When we browse the Web in the search for better online marketing channels or search engine optimization advice, we cannot ignore an unexpected reality: the number of women in SEO. Two or three years ago SEO was a geeky world and the strongest name we heard were male names: Danny Sullivan, Aaron Wall, Matt Cuts and so on. And now I cannot imagine a world without Lisa Barone, Rae Hoffman (Sugarrae), Jill Whalen, Vanessa Fox, Marissa Mayer and so on.

Being a woman of the search myself, I am quite proud to see my kind making waves on the Web. And I am not at all surprised to see so many women doing a great job in this industry: women are good communicators, their attention to detail is remarkable, they are very prompt and tend to answer customer queries faster than men and the list could go on. You don't even need to look at the statistics to understand the facts. But there's another aspect of this issue I'd like to underline.

We are on the Web so we do not really have a physical presence. The online existence is purely spiritual. Intellectual. The Web is the vessel that carries unique powers, some of witch we'd never show in the real world. Shy people seem strong online, strong people express their softer nature. And this particular revealing of the self doesn't have too much to do with being a woman or a man. It's more about overcoming personal limits and pushing those limits up to the point of becoming a way of life.

The women of SEO are not better than the men of SEO because they are women. They just have different traits that make their performance somehow more effective. Their presence should be acknowledged but their professional skills have little to do with their sexual identity. Besides, we've all learned search from our male counterparts: they were here first.

So when we think about the women of SEO we do not need to build up false pedestals and praise them as pioneers (believe me, I've seen that a lot). We need to understand the women are different and their approach of the SEO industry goes to a somehow deeper level because women accomplish their tasks with concern for all the areas involved, no matter how small. Men tend to be more general in their approach and they focus only on the most important aspects of the search, aiming for the most profitable channels. None of the techniques is erroneous, but in my opinion attention to detail provides for better results on the long-term. There are, of course, some men of SEO who pay careful attention to detail, but not enough to include this trait as a general trait of the SEO professionals, regardless of their biological identity.

Recently I faced a client who asked whether hiring SEO women is better for his business. In his particular case my answer was yes: the site needing optimization sells cosmetic products. It's pretty obvious that women already know this industry. But when it comes to websites that target general audiences, I'd suggest to hire the SEO you trust.

Unfortunately SEO was misused and right now many of the small companies scattered around the web are immersed in a shadow cone. It's quite hard to decide who to trust and it's even harder to understand the real value of an SEO campaign, especially because many Web users believe that everything on the Web comes free. While many resources are indeed free, and SEOs do use them in an SEO campaign, what people really forget to place on their expenses list is time.

In an SEO campaign the time spent on research is the most important aspect and the most valuable too. An SEO customer will have to pay for time and search engine marketing channels such as paid directories, paid advertising, paid links and so on. It's true that anyone could buy directory listings or advertise through paid channels, but the SEO knows how to target these resources, how to write the ads, what keywords to use and so on. Because SEO is a time consuming process and there are almost never enough SEM channels involved, the SEO costs of a professional campaign are not affordable for all. This is somehow a paradox because on the long-term SEO does save money and provides for good return of investment.

Those who cannot pay the price will almost always remain at the end of the SERPs, unless they learn SEO themselves and join this challenging industry.

A very good resource for beginners is Aaron Wall's SEO Book. That's good to start with but it's not enough. The SEO education should continue and the main resources to enhance it are the SEO blogs of the professionals listed at the beginning of this article.

Enza Power All-Natural All-Purpose Drain Cleaner 32oz

The benefits of grape seed extract are one of most exciting among the family of natural healers. Indeed, the seeds of the fruit of the vine, which was once considered waste after the juice was pressed and extracted out for wine, has now become the source of a very popular nutritional supplement.

Grape seed extract harbors potent antioxidant properties known as procyanidolic oligomers, or PCOs. These substances are considered a class of unique phytochemicals known as flavonoids. In fact, in terms of bioavailable antioxidant activity, clinical studies suggest that PCOs may be as much as fifty times more potent than the well renowned antioxidant vitamin E, and twenty times more potent than vitamin C. Nevertheless, it is said to be more powerful than these two vitamins.

Antioxidants are disease-fighting substances that mop up the continuous onslaught of free radicals. Free radicals are unstable oxygen molecules that damage cells as they travel through the body and are thought to be instrumental in causing cancer, aging, and many degenerative diseases, including atherosclerosis and heart disease if left unchecked.

Moreover, PCOs is said to have the ability to enhance vitamin C's activity, thus it increases this vitamins effectiveness within the body. Perhaps, one of the most impressive benefits of grape seed extract in its role as an antioxidant is that it is one of the few that can cross the blood-brain barrier, which means it can protect the brain and spinal nerves from free radical damage.

But wait, there's more possible healing benefits of grape seed extract...

Grape seed extract may be a heart attack and stroke fighter by protecting the body against atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries), which is the gradual buildup of plague (deposits made up of cholesterol, other fats, and calcium) that can clog the arteries. In addition, it is thought to help improve blood flow and strengthen the blood vessels and, as such, grape seed extract may be of benefit for people who suffer from heart disease.

Anyone suffering from vascular disorders, such as varicose veins and numbness or tingling sensations due to poor circulation may find the benefits of grape seed extract of interest. In many Western European countries, grape seed extract is widely used to treat and prevent various vascular (vessel) disorders that are likely to benefit from increased blood flow such as varicose veins and numbness or tingling sensations due to poor circulation, which is a common complication of diabetes.

You may have noticed that grape seed extract can be found in some cosmetic products claiming to make skin more supple and reduce fine lines. This is because it is believed that OPCs protect and strengthen collagen and elastin.

If you suffer from allergies this may be the supplement for you. Grape seed extract is believed to block the release of histamines -- substances that are instrumental in allergic reactions, and it also inhibits the release of prostaglandins, body chemicals that can generate inflammation during an allergic response.

Other possible benefits of grape seed extract include:

  • Cancer fighter

  • Halt or slow progression of macular degeneration and cataracts

  • May improve night vision

Nutritional-Educational-Supplement-Centre's Comments

It's important to note that the primary clinical indications for grape seed extract -- or more specifically PCOs are the treatment of venous and capillary disorders, including capillary fragility, varicose veins, and venous insufficiency. Capillary fragility is characterized by easy bruising. In fact, good clinical studies have shown positive results in the treatment of these conditions.

In addition, we believe grape seed's antioxidant powers exuberates excellence and, as such, it is definitely a supplement worth checking out, especially since we live in a highly toxic environment.

Grape Seed Extract Side Effects and Precautions

Indeed, the possible benefits of grape seed extract are substantial. However, you should always speak to a physician before taking dietary supplements.

Based on limited research, grape seed extract is safe when used as directed. Individuals allergic to grapes should not take grape seed supplements. People who are taking prescription drugs should always speak to physician before using grape seed extract supplements, especially if you are taking antiplatelet or anticoagulants, including aspirin. Pregnant and nursing women should not take this supplement.

Mild side effects may include abdominal pain, cough, headache, nausea, and sore throat.

Sensory Fusion Lemongrass Sugar Salt Scrub 12 Oz

Aroma Sensory Fusion Lemongrass Sugar Salt Scrub 12 Oz

From a bulletin board: "I have been seeing lots of ads for Olay's new anti-aging products to diminish lines on lips, around the eyes and the entire face also. I was hoping to hear from someone who has actually tried these products before I spend any more money on creams and serums that don't really produce any noticeable results."

I have purchased Olay products on and off over the years, starting when their first product was advertised in tiny newspaper ads. Their product marketing was genius then and today it is over the top.

Based on my experience with Olay products, I rate them from a charitable "just okay" to "useless." The recent run of Olay TV ads is egregiously deceptive. I can't understand how they get away with suggesting (however cleverly) that use of Olay products will take the place of a facelift. They use a model with flawless skin and firm jaw line to talk about removing or preventing wrinkles.

I'm thinking, "You have to be pretty stupid to fall for that" but until recently, I tried new Olay products hoping that maybe, just maybe, they will come up with something that produces what the advertising promises. (Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!) I will never, ever, even for research purposes, buy another Olay product. If you are an Olay fan, my apologies, but I think there are more probably more dissatisfied women like me than fans.

Right now I have a can of Definitely gathering dust which claims to provide "deep penetrating foaming moisture." I am ashamed to admit it's the second can I purchased. It's gathering dust because I've found that less expensive Gold Bond Healing Lotion is far better.

I have a lot of would be miracle potions gathering dust. The reality is that most products tend to be what they are: Hope in a jar nothing more. Having said that, I stand by my loyalty to a product called Nutrius. It's not a miracle cream by any means, but it provides a level of benefit to me that makes me come back for more. The Nutrius, along with my prescription Retin A is going to have to do it for me from here on out.

I'm getting smarter, or maybe my common sense is finally kicking in (it's about time) and I've made a decision not to buy any more new skin creams regardless of how powerful the advertising. I am now in "Wrinkle Cream Rehab." With any kind of luck, I won't relapse.

Do you have products gathering dust? Don't throw them away. This is what I am now doing: If they still look and smell good (don't ever use on your skin anything that smells rancid), I use my beauty cream orphans as body cream. The "under eye miracle cream" gets smeared on my arms. The "collagen eyelid cream" goes on my legs, or wherever. The vitamin C serum cream enjoys the same "wherever" fate. I'm determined not to throw the cost of these useless products down the drain.

So, ladies, use that stuff up if it's still good. And here's what you can do that is a better approach to beautiful skin: Collagen powder taken internally works far better. I take collagen powder every day. You can slather a ton of collagen cream on your face, or products that claim to boost collagen production, and the effect, if any, will be temporary. Another benefit of taking collagen internally: It makes your nails very strong. You should be able to grow your nails as long as you like without them breaking off easily. The collagen I take is called Super Collagen Type I & III.

The same advice holds for vitamin C cosmetic products. Claims abound about new technology that supposedly produces better product absorption. I am not convinced. I prefer to take my vitamin C internally and let its magic work from the inside out. I use calcium ascorbate crystals, a form of non-acidic vitamin C.

The thing about skin creams is that a product may be very effective for some women yet doesn't do anything for others. So I know some of you will defend products you've found useful (as I have found Nutrius helpful) and protest my comments. And that's okay! (Hey, look, if you have found a true miracle cream, share the info with us!)

I think there comes a time when we have to realize there are no miracles in a jar and enough is enough. I welcome you to join me in Wrinkle Cream Rehab.

Customer Review: PAID ADVERTISEMENT...Not with my money!
I resent squandering my faith in ordering this book. This is the most self serving waste of words I have ever ordered from Amazon. I expected a instructive and useful manual to help Black Women survive the hair wars. I expected helpful tips in understanding our hair & how to master the obstacles we encounter, ranging "yes, chemicals, but also the harsh environment. Some of us live in dry climates, humid climates, getting older & seeing hair changes, dry hair, thinning hair & to grow old with fabulous hair. something like this is what I call "talking hair", Instead, the first 50 pages address, "my spirtual journeys, daily affirmations & issues of not having loving parents?... is that why my hair is damaged? The last 150 pages are hair styles, mostly fake ones ( I can get in a fashion magazine for less!) One chapter gives useful instruction, so this book could have been 200 pages lesser and with thinner pages (like most books), instead of the 100# gloss paper used in half the book, giving false impression of providing volumes of useful instructions for desirous Black Women. Save your money, really! I am getting mine back!
Customer Review: Excellent Book
This book was the most helpful on going natural. She's so thorough on everything that I am now making this my hair bible. It answered a lot of my questions.

As a patient considering liposuction, there are four different types of procedures you should be aware of, and discuss with your plastic surgeon prior to scheduling your surgery. Each of the various techniques is performed a bit differently and as a patient you should know a bit about each option and understand which type of liposuction your plastic surgeon will be performing on your body.

Fluid Injection Liposuction

Fluid injection is a technique where a medicated solution is injected into the fatty areas before the fat is removed. The medicated solution is generally made up of saline solution, a local anesthetic, and a medication which is used to contract blood vessels in the area.

Fluid injection helps your plastic surgeon remove the fatty deposits much easier, and at the same time provides you with the added benefit of pain reduction and less blood loss. In addition, the injection of fluid works to lessen the bruising you will experience post-procedure.

Tumescent Liposuction

The word "tumescence" describes a swollen and firm state of fatty tissues when they have been filled with a medical solution. With tumescent liposuction, a general anesthetic is generally used which is in a solution injected into the fatty deposits which will be removed.

While this technique generally takes longer for a plastic surgeon to perform, the injection fluid generally contains the entire amount of anesthetic you will need as a patient. This means that you will not need to take any further anesthetic risk for the procedure.

Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction

There are two variations of ultrasonic assisted liposuction (UAL) performed today. They are external UAL and internal UAL.

With external UAL, ultrasonic vibrations are applied above the surface of your skin. The ultrasonic waves pass through the areas of fat to be removed and cause it to turn to liquid. Once the area has been liquefied, traditional techniques are used to remove it.

With internal UAL a special cannula is used and the ultrasonic energy is applied inside of the body directly on the fat tissue to be removed. UAL allows for more precision than traditional methods and generally is a longer procedure for your plastic surgeon to perform.

Super Wet Liposuction Technique

The super wet technique is similar to that of the tumescent method in that fluid is injected into the areas where fat will be removed.

However, the super wet technique uses less fluid and generally the amount of fluid that is introduced is the same as the amount of fat which will be removed. The super wet technique generally requires general anesthesia and takes over an hour to perform.

For men and women in Dallas, liposuction should only be considered by an experienced, board certified plastic surgeon. Dr. Stephen White is a trained and certified plastic surgeon. He offers information, before and after pictures, and financing options online at http://www.usaplasticsurgery.com/
