We have tried several other bathroom scales and the displayed weight would vary up to 5 pounds, each time you stepped on. This is stable on the hard floor and seems fairly accurate for a wide range of weights, from our 4 year old grandson to our weight. Matched up very closely with the scale at the doctor's office yesterday.
